Tuesday was Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day. How did I find that out? From “The Diva,” a VERY talented Certified Zentangle® Teacher in Canada. One of her sons, Artoo, has an extremely rare disorder called Moebius Syndrome. She says:
“In the beginning – I came to Zentangle for the art. I was drawn to it because it was familiar. Then Artoo was born and everything about his birth and his hospital stay and his eventual homecoming was. So. Hard……and I clung to Zentangle as my life line in those first months – and eventually it led me [to create this blog] because I knew that I NEEDED to keep a Zentangle practice in my life.” iamthedivaczt.blogspot
In honor of Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day…
As The Diva challenged, today we used the Moebius Syndrome logo as “string” for our tile. The logo is a moebius strip. Did you know:
“If an ant were to crawl along the length of [a paper moebius strip], it would return to its starting point having traversed the entire length of the strip (on both sides of the original paper) without ever crossing an edge.” wikipedia.org
Amazing!
