learn Mooka and Sunali
Another early tangle, Mooka is very popular and can be quite dramatic, often reminding me of a thin stem, bending under the weight of its very large rounded top.
In contrast, here’s brand-new Sunali… a rather complex grid pattern.
put together: Coneflowers!
shapes to Explore:
- Blossom center — large, round (like Mooka)
- Petals — fan out from center, droop to lower half (like Sunali)
- Petal shape — narrow, rounded tip
- Stem — thin, slight bend (like Mooka)
- Leaves — oval, medium-small, arc-ing
things to Notice:
- Blossom center — full of tiny shapes (spiral-ing to fit together)
- Stem — very tall
- Leaves — near ground, far below blossom
for a Gallery:
- black ink on white Zentangle® tile (3½”x3½”)
- shaded with graphite, then colored pencil/pens
